The liquidator responsible for winding up the affairs of Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA has released 173 of the container wagons in the ICF wagon fleet for online auction. Bids for these vehicles must be submitted by April 28th.

Antwerp-based online auctioneers Troostwijk NV HYPERLINK "http://www.troostwijkauctions.com/"www.troostwijkauctions.com, which specialises in industrial auctions and has been commissioned with the auction, has placed 173 of the container wagons in the ICF estate now up for liquidation on their lists.

These wagons consist, on the one hand, of a lot of 96 Lgs-type two-axle wagons. These have a maximum capacity of one 40' container. Most of these wagons are currently located in Hungary, with a few in Italy and Austria.

The other lot comprises 102' short-coupled four bogie low-loader wagons with wheel diameters of just 735 mm specially designed for the broad gauge Iberian network. With a loading height of only 825mm above the surface of the rail, these Sggmrrss wagons are ideal for the carriage of larger intermodal units. 77 of these wagons stabled in Spain are therefore now up for sale.

For both types of wagon, maintenance will be the buyer's responsibility.

Troostwijk's target publics for this auction are railway undertakings, operators, transport enterprises and shippers as well as specialist investors.

For auction manager Paul Weyers: "With current heavy demand for intermodal rolling stock, this is a good opportunity for short-term acquisition of additional stock."
