“Trends in the Turkish Logistics Industry” is a longitudinal study reported quarterly since the last quarter of 2013. This study attempts to measure the perceptions of senior managers in the logistics industry with regard to “performances” and “expectations”. The 400 companies, members of UTIKAD (Association of International Forwarding and Logistics Service provider), which serve as the sample population for the study, are given a survey in every quarter by Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics.  Director of Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics, Prof. Dr. Okan Tuna, Chairman of the Board of The Directors of UTIKAD Turgut Erkeskin, Consultant Bülent Tanla, members of the Board of The Directors of UTIKAD Mehmet Özal, Ekin Tırman, and General Manager of UTIKAD Cavit Uğur attended to the press conference held.  Turkish logistics managers are more worried about the “foreign investment” and “growth” in logistics, according to the Survey. Ratio of managers stating foreign investment in logistics “will increase” fell to 27.0% in the 4th  Quarter 2014 from 32.7% in the 3rd  Quarter 2014. On the other hand, ratio of managers stating growth in logistics “will increase” fell to 28.4% in the 4th Quarter 2014 from % 36.1 in the 3rd  Quarter 2014.  Ratio of managers stating “the number of white collar increased” with compared to last quarter increased to 37.8% in the 4th Quarter 2014 from 37.7% in the 3rd Quarter 2014. On the other hand, ratio of managers stating “the number of white collar increased” with compared to last quarter fell to 24.3% in the 4th Quarter 2014 from 26.2% in the 3rd  Quarter 2014.  The survey showed 67.6% of managers think price competition is “high” down from  68.9% in the 3rd Quarter 2014. The survey also revealed 16.2% of managers think quality competition is “high” down from 26.2% in the 3rd Quarter 2014.
