Launches daily non-stop 767-300 cargo service to Barcelona and Milan from NY Kennedy

American Airlines Cargo Division (AA Cargo) announced new cargo service to Europe from New York's Kennedy International Airport (JFK). AA Cargo now offers daily non-stop widebody service to both cities utilizing Boeing 767-300 aircraft. Service between New York and Barcelona's El Prat Airport (BCN) and non-stop flights from New York Kennedy to Milan's Malpensa Airport (MXP) is underway.

'The Barcelona and Milan routes further enhance American's international network, providing additional capacity between Europe and the United States via New York ' one of our most popular gateways,' said Dave Brooks, president of American Airlines Cargo. 'New interline opportunities are also opened to the Middle East and Asia through these new routes.'

Barcelona is responsible for more than 20% of Spain's gross domestic product, including the textile and industrial goods export industry.

Milan, the fashion center of Italy, is also an important manufacturing, business and retail center serving northern Italy.

In addition to daily scheduled service, American will serve customers in these European markets with a comprehensive portfolio of flight-specific cargo products and online tracking tools.

Expeditefs, AA's guaranteed express freight product, provides enhanced boarding priority, excellent service reliability and a 100 percent flown-as-booked guarantee. The guarantee also extends to truck feeder segments that serve American's gateways around the world.

The AACargo.com Web site provides online tools for booking, tracking and other productivity enhancements that offer enhanced shipment transparency and streamlined processes. American recently implemented functionality that provides real time updates on shipment clearance status for US imports from the US Customs and Border Protection.
