American Airlines Cargo Division (AA Cargo) has announced it has expanded its Priority Parcel Service SM (PPS) Heavyweight product for shipments between the United States and Europe.

PPS Heavyweight was introduced in November 2008, providing a per piece weight limit increase from 32 to 46 kilograms (70 to 100 pounds) for service within the United States including San Juan, Puerto Rico. The expanded weight limit between the United States and Europe is the latest enhancement to the popular shipping product utilized by professional shippers and couriers.

'Providing customers with the broadest portfolio of shipping products, technology and customer service is our primary goal,' said Dave Brooks, president of AA Cargo. 'The expansion of our PPS Heavyweight product, to include routes between the United States and Europe, underscores our commitment to customers throughout our network.'

For more than 30 years, Priority Parcel Service has provided same-day counter-to-counter service throughout the United States and many parts of the world. Available through American's ticket counters, cargo terminals and designated PPS facilities, the product offers flight-specific shipping and highest boarding priority, with no advanced booking required.
