Aeroflot-Cargo reported stable results in August 2009 which have exceeded last year's volumes of freight. August 2009 has seen 14,140 tons of freight and mail being carried by Aeroflot-Cargo. Variance of the last year is 104.3%. Seven thousand six-hundred fifty-nine tons were uplifted on flights of Aeroflot passenger network ' VLY is 99.5 %. 'Aeroflot-Cargo' freighters carried 6,480 tons exceeding last year volumes by 10.7 %. In 2009 the freighter fleet of 'Aeroflot-Cargo' was comprised of three MD-11Fs.

Volume of carriage statistics per month has a positive dynamic: January 2009/08: 62%, February 59.5%, March 71%, April 86%, May 96.9%, June 92.7%, July 98.4%, August 104.3%.

Aeroflot Cargo operates on its own international scheduled flights to Germany, Finland, Japan, Republic of Korea, China, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, India: Almaty, Beijing, Hong Kong, Moscow, Mumbai, Novosibirsk, St.Petersburg, Seoul, Tokyo, Frankfurt Hahn, Нelsinki,'Shanghai.

The freighter fleet of Aeroflot Cargo consists of three McDonnell Douglas MD-11F'which'operate international and domestic lines.'In addition to cargo flights, Aeroflot Cargo uses all cargo holds'on all passenger routes operated by Aeroflot.

Separating air cargo transportation from the core profile of Aeroflot into a separate business was driven by the need for a better efficiency and profitability of cargo operations, growth of Aeroflot capitalization and the opportunity for further growth of profit for Aeroflot stakeholders, the state being among the key ones.

Commercial rights transferred by Aeroflot to its subsidiary allow Aeroflot Cargo to map long-term plans for adding more destinations to its network and expanding its fleet.
