Agility, a leading global logistics provider, was recognized for a second, consecutive year as an industry leader in the May 12, 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Third-Party Logistics Providers report. Agility was recognized for its culture of entrepreneurialism and the high-level involvement of executives in customer accounts, which is acknowledged and valued by customers. A single common technology platform that brings together forwarding, warehousing, transportation and visibility was noted for its ability to align customer supply chains.  “We believe this recognition from Gartner is more evidence that providing our customers with an exceptionally high level of customized service through our trademark combination of entrepreneurial can-do and hands-on executive involvement is being recognized by those who matter most, our customers,” said Tarek Sultan, Chief Executive Officer, Agility. Industry leaders are defined as companies that have broad service offerings with availability across an expansive global territory. They are described as being “formidable at logistics execution” and have well-structured strategies and business models to continue to expand their capabilities, regional coverage and industry vertical specialization. Leaders are “trusted and relied on by many of the largest global corporations to help them execute worldwide commerce.” Gartner evaluated companies in the report based on their “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision.” The four Magic Quadrant categories to define surveyed companies are defined as “challengers,” “niche players,” “visionaries” and “leaders.” Gartner is the world's leading information technology research and advisory company. The Magic Quadrant has been designed to chart the evolution of the largest third-party logistics providers and their individual abilities to be global preferred providers.
