Air France-KLM Cargo and Traxon Europe combine strengths for successful process integration in airfreight e-communication

Since joining forces, Air France Cargo and KLM Cargo have concentrated their efforts on combining and maximizing their strengths. After integrating their commercial teams around the world and creating one face to the customer, the redesign of processes and system integration is now high on the agenda. An important milestone was reached in June 2008 when all existing e-communication processes were successfully harmonized.

With its decision to use only one provider for the exchange of electronic messages, despite different IT systems involved, Air France-KLM Cargo has made an important step forward. By handing over this task to Traxon Europe as the sole provider, the smooth processing of its e-communications will be guaranteed.

'We are glad to have reached this vital step towards further process integration for Air France-KLM Cargo.' states Eelco van Asch, Vice President Marketing, Communication & E-Distribution, Air France-KLM Cargo. 'From now, we will control and manage all e-communication processes worldwide exclusively via Traxon, an important stepping stone for our ambitious e-development roadmap.'

The advantages for Air France-KLM Cargo are clear: the need for only one contact, a single interface and hence one-stop shopping and more efficient customer-oriented e-communication processes. Last but not least, the decision was based on Air France Cargo's record of successful cooperation with KLM Cargo and Traxon. Since 1994, KLM Cargo has already been using Traxon as a provider in various markets.
