A tender process involving four other parties concluded with dnata retaining the business of the New Zealand flag carrier which carries some 12.5 million kilos per annum into and out of the UK.
Air New Zealand Cargo will continue to be handled through the Radius Park facility for the remainder of this year, but will move into the new dnata City upon its completion in the New Year.
“We carefully analysed the available services and have chosen dnata again”, states Air New Zealand Cargo’s Regional Cargo Manager – Europe, Finlay McArthur. “We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible service levels and we believe dnata will continue to deliver. Our excellent working relationship with everyone in their organisation from the guys on the floor through to senior management is key to maintaining our high service standards”.
Adds dnata UK CEO, Gary Morgan: “I am thrilled that Air New Zealand Cargo has decided to extend our long-term partnership for cargo handling at LHR. We have enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial relationship, and during the life of this new contract I am delighted to confirm that Air New Zealand will become one of our first clients at the newly constructed dnata city complex at Heathrow and we look forward to welcoming Finlay and his team to their new home in the very near future”.
