AirBridge Cargo, Russia's first scheduled cargo airline, transported Madonna's elaborate stage set and equipment from Moscow to Japan for the latest concert in the singer's 'Confessions Tour.'

Madonna was in Russia to perform at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on September 12th. Following the concert, the equipment was taken to Sheremetyevo Airport and loaded onboard two AirBridge Cargo B747 freighters bound for Japan.

'AirBridge was asked to carry this unique cargo at just a few days' notice and we were delighted to rise to the challenge using two aircraft from our Boeing 747 freighter fleet. Everything arrived at its destination on time and Madonna's fans in Japan were able to experience her amazing stage performance,' commented Stan Wraight, Vice President of Volga-Dnepr Group.

The shipment weighed 193 tons and consisted of stage equipment, including the famous glass sphere, weighing one ton, from which Madonna appears at the beginning of the show.

Volga-Dnepr Group has previously worked with some of the world's most popular music artists, carrying stage equipment for Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Ricky Martin, Jean-Michel Jarr and U2.
