The new four-year contract strengthens Kuehne + Nagel’s global partnership with the Airbus Group and marks a further strategic step into the Polish aerospace and aviation logistics market.  In the scope of the contract Kuehne + Nagel manages a warehouse, storing components and spare parts for manufacturing aircrafts. The services provided at the Warsaw site include picking & packing, quality inspections, management of inbound flows from suppliers, order preparation and delivery of parts to the Airbus’ manufacturing. In order to monitor the entire logistics processes during the production Kuehne + Nagel utilises its IT System “MyLogSupply”. In addition, value-added services are provided and include cutting to size and handling of parts for aircrafts like the training turboprop ORLIK.  Felipe Steinmetz Comunion, Head of Military Aircraft, Airbus Defence and Space Poland, said: “The contract with Kuehne + Nagel is a milestone in improving the productivity and competitiveness of Airbus Defence and Space in Poland.
