The board of directors of Intermarine has elected Andre Grikitis as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. Andre will assume the position held by Roger Kavanagh, founder and prior CEO of Intermarine, who recently died after a lengthy battle with cancer. Andre stepped into the role as Interim-President in September 2006. Prior to taking over the position of President, Andre had been a Managing Director of Industrial Maritime Carriers Worldwide, Intermarine's Far East operating affiliate. Andre has been associated with the Intermarine family of companies since 1990 and has been in the maritime industry over 30 years.

In addition to the role of President and CEO, Andre will also assume the role of Chairman of the Board for Intermarine and all of its affiliated companies. Intermarine affiliates are involved in trades in South America and the Far East as well as a US Flag service.

Intermarine is a worldwide provider of ocean transport as well as inland heavy haul transportation services for breakbulk, specialized project and heavy lift cargoes.
