JetBlue Cargo has appointed Airline Network Services as its General Sales Agent for New York's Metropolitan Area, a territory that includes New York City's suburban counties and portions of New Jersey.

The announcement was issued by Jens Tubbesing, chief executive of ANS, who stated that the agency's operations on behalf of JetBlue Cargo embrace both general cargo and express packages. In a renewed focus on cargo, JetBlue is investing in updated technology as well as carrying its commitment of excellence and quality to its cargo operation, building on the legendary success of their passenger brand.

ANS's CEO, formerly president of CNS, noted that JetBlue Cargo daily schedules more than 180 flights out of the'New York area's three major airports.

With headquarters at Lake Success, New York, the company maintains branch offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and Seattle.

Tubbesing, universally recognized in the air transportation industry as a staunch advocate of a quality approach to air-shipping service, stated that ANS's operations possess a built-in flexibility to accommodate customers' varied requirements. ANS's customer-service standards for the shipper compare with JetBlue Airlines' known high customer-service standards for passengers.
