In order to serve the growing Latin American project market, BDP Project Logistics has opened an office in Mexico City, Mexico.

Staffing the office is Roberto Lange, who previously served as project manager in the BDP Project Logistics office in Nuremberg, Germany. Fluent in Spanish, German and English, Lange received his education at the German School and German Business School in Guatemala and has worked in various countries around the world in an operations capacity, handling a number of projects for the power, chemical and oil and gas industries. As manager of business development for Mexico, he will report to the managing director of the Americas and Europe for BDP Project Logistics.

"Since Mexico is a key project market I am very excited to help BDP Project Logistics further its development in cooperation with the existing BDP team," said Lange, who has relocated from Germany.

BDP Project Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of BDP International and is based in Singapore.

"Roberto has taken on the challenge of developing a crucial project market," said Luc Van Heygen, managing director, Americas & Europe, BDP Project Logistics. "We believe that with the support of BDP Mexico's management and the backing of the BDP Project Logistics global network, we will succeed in establishing the BDP Project Logistics brand name and expanding our business opportunities in Mexico and Latin America as a whole."

"The current situation in the market encourages business to be more competitive and offer a wider variety of services," said Mauricio Boy, president & CEO, BDP International M'xico, S.A. de C.V. "When approached by BDP Project Logistics to establish an operation in Mexico, I immediately saw the value in expanding our business offering to current and future clients. We have been handling projects in cooperation with BDP Project Logistics for a few years now and are eager to expand this cooperation in collaboration with Roberto and all of BDP Project Logistics."
