Over 6300 project cargo and breakbulk cargo logisticians from 100 countries around the world, together with 275 exhibiting companies, took part in the 9th annual Breakbulk Europe Exhibition from 12-15 May 2014 at the Antwerp Expo, Antwerp, Belgium. These figures make Breakbulk Europe 2014 the largest specialised logistics event globally. During the 3 day event themed ‘Moving the gears of the world’s big businesses’, project cargo and traditional breakbulk cargo owners had the opportunity to learn about the latest industry trends and meet and develop relationships with the leading specialised carriers, freight forwarders, ports/ terminals, and packers and equipment companies that have the handling expertise to manage oversized cargoes.  There was a wide range of presentations open to all delegates which provided executive-level strategy, data, analysis and trending, two days of industry focused professional educational activities and a large number of networking events. Breakbulk Europe is one of ten annual specialised transportation events organised by Breakbulk Events & Media, a division of AXIO Data Group which operates a portfolio of market-leading information businesses.  Alli McEntyre, Managing Director of Breakbulk Events and Media commented, “With the continuing investment in global infrastructure, notably in the energy sector, the Breakbulk market is evolving and growing. Events such as this one provide excellent business development opportunities and create a terrific environment for making connections within the business. We are always aiming to service the needs of this exciting business even better and look forward to our events later this year in the US, Turkey and South America.”
