Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd said it is evaluating its options with regard to a decision by the European Commission to fine the Hong Kong carrier 57.12 million euros ($78.57 million) over a cargo price-fixing case.

"Cathay Pacific is reviewing the decision and evaluating its options with its legal advisers," the carrier said in a statement.

Cathay and 10 other international airlines, including Air France-KLM and British Airways Plc, were fined a total of 799 million euros ($1.11 billion) by EU antitrust regulators for fixing cargo prices.
