New supply chain consolidation unit provides fresh approach to customer servicing
CEVA Logistics, the 4th largest global supply chain provider, announced today the appointment of Bill Aldridge to the position of Executive Vice President for its newly created business unit, International Logistics Solutions (ILS). ILS provides end-to-end supply chain solutions from purchase order to point of sale. It combines direct operational execution, supplier and carrier management and consulting expertise which complement CEVA’s core services in freight management and contract logistics.

ILS’s current service offering and future expansion plans will be focused in the Asian and other emerging markets which support low cost sourcing and manufacturing, with primary operations in Hong Kong and mainland China, complemented by full export management services to North America, Europe and the rest of the world. CEVA’s global network, especially its Retail and Consumer organization will work closely with ILS in designing and delivering customized solutions to some 15,000 potential clients who are looking to a company that makes dynamic decisions throughout the various stages in the supply chain.

Based in New Jersey, USA, Bill Aldridge has an extensive career in the industry. Prior to CEVA, he was International Supply Chain president at DHL/Exel Supply Chain and served as managing and regional director for companies such as American President Lines and Hapag - Lloyd (America). “I am very excited with the opportunity to leverage the contract logistics and freight management businesses within CEVA. I am proud to be part of an organization which applies a dynamic yet collaborative approach in fulfilling customer’s needs,” said Aldridge.

Vittorio Favati, CEVA Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific, said, “Bill is one of the most experienced, committed and passionate leaders within our industry. He has a unique understanding of the complexities of this business, and has had remarkable success in managing trade between Asia and the West.”
