The Council will meet quarterly and will serve in an advisory role to the Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority on issues of mutual interest. The composition of the CCAC is geographically diverse and intended to provide an effective line of communication between communities around the Port of Houston and the Port Commission.

“The CCAC will facilitate a regular and open channel for community input regarding the Port of Houston Authority’s mission and priorities, including job creation, economic development, and environmental stewardship,” Longoria said. “The CCAC is an important initiative to engage our stakeholder communities with the work of the Port Commission.”
