Texas airports hot with growth

There’s good news in the air cargo world. Just three weeks into British Airways Boeing 787 launched service on March 3 between Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) and London Heathrow (LHR), IAG Cargo realized an 88 percent load factor. IAG Cargo strengthens Latin America network

Global businesses are set to benefit as Montevideo in Uruguay and Santa Domingo in the Dominican Republic are added to IAG Cargo’s worldwide network, which comprises more than 350 destinations in total. Flights to the two new cities will start on 1st September and will build on the strength of the IAG Cargo network in Latin America, which will grow to 16 destinations. Read More »

SWISS concludes innovative new collective labour agreement for its pilot corps

SWISS has concluded a new collective labour agreement with the IPG, the staff association of its Swiss European Air Lines pilots. The new CLA14+ will keep the company competitive, give greater flexibility to its flight operations and enable its new Bombardier CS100 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fleets to be brought into service with the participation of both its present pilot corps. UTair Aviation Receives its Eighth Airbus A321 Aircraft

As part of its current fleet renewal program, HYPERLINK "http://www.utair.ru/en/" UTair Aviation has taken delivery of the eighth Airbus A321 aircraft, the latest in a contract for 20 aircraft of this type signed in 2012. With the new Airbus aircraft entering the fleet and the decision to retire older aircraft, the average age for aircraft in the UTair fleet will drop to 8 years by the end of 2014. Read More »
