AAA Cooper Transportation launches pre-pickup visibility

Building on the success of their shipment visibility platform, ACTION TRAC®, AAA Cooper Transportation announced enhancements designed to allow its customers a window into one of the most obscure segments of the lifecycle of a shipment, pre pickup activities. Released December 14, the company said this next generation visibility experience will keep their customers up to date as their pickups are processed through the AAA Cooper system; messaging them with confirmation of the pickup request, when the driver is assigned, when the driver goes in route to the pickup (with ETA), and when the pickup is completed.

ACT Research: US trailer net orders down sequentially, but still solid in November

November net US trailer orders of 39,645 units fell nearly 28% from the previous month, but that followed a two-month order surge and still indicates a solid month. Net orders were up 100% year-over-year and more than 30% ytd compared to the first 11 months of 2019. Before accounting for cancellations, new orders of 41k units were down 28% versus October, but 94% better year-over-year, according to this month’s issue of ACT Research’s State of the Industry: U.S. Trailer Report.
