The World Container Index assessed by Drewry, a composite of container freight rates on 8 major routes to/from the US, Europe and Asia decreased by 3.1% to $1,446.22 per 40ft container this week (updated Thursday, 30 April 2020).

Trailer Bridge operations in the Dominican Republic continue to gain momentum with a 37 percent increase in container volumes from its Santo Domingo port since February. The transportation service leader's combined fleet of 53-foot and 40-foot containers supports the export of goods manufactured in the Dominican Republic's Free Trade Zone and shipped to the United States, including critical medical supplies.
