The Port of Seattle Commission approved a long-term ground lease for a portion of Terminal 106, located along West Marginal Way, in Seattle, to Trammell Crow Company (TCC), one of the nation’s leading developers and investors in commercial real estate. The lease will facilitate the demolition of the Port’s old warehouse on the property and the subsequent development of a 700,000-square-foot, two-story light industrial warehouse. The new facility will be able to support e-commerce, manufacturers, and logistics providers that support maritime industries.

The Port of Virginia is one of the St. Louis region's primary gateways to the world. Dedicated rail service provided by two Class I railroads – Norfolk Southern and CSX – connect the St. Louis region to the east coast port, where more than $900 million has been invested within the past three years. Today, the CMA CGM MARCO POLO, a container vessel with the capacity to carry more than 16,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), is on berth and working at The Port of Virginia. This is the largest container ship to ever call the US East Coast and while here it went to Virginia International Gateway (VIG).
