Rotation is the only direct call from Houston to Singapore

CMA CGM, the world’s third largest container shipping company, announced that the PEX 3 Service will be adding the Port of Singapore to its rotation effective November 11, 2009. The PEX 3 will be the only service with direct calls from Houston to Singapore.

As the newest port added to the rotation, the weekly service will offer competitive transit times to Houston, Miami, Jacksonville, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, Tangier, Jebel Ali, Singapore, Shanghai, Xiamen, Chiwan, Hong Kong and Australia via transshipment at Singapore.

‘We are continuously evaluating solutions to meet the import and export needs of our customers,’ said Jean Philippe Thenoz, vice president, North American lines, CMA CGM Group. ‘By adding the port of Singapore to our Transpacific rotation, customers now will have direct and timely access to this very important domestic and transshipment market.’

As a top carrier of imports and exports in the United States, CMA CGM is proud to be the only direct carrier from Houston to Singapore. With its global headquarters based in Marseilles, France, and its United States head office based in Norfolk, Va., CMA CGM is recognized for its commitment to the environment, superior customer focus and innovative solutions.
