CMA CGM announces rate restoration programs

In a continued effort to provide its customers with reliable and efficient services, the CMA CGM Group has decided to restore freight rates between the following locations to sustainable levels.

INDIA - PAKISTAN - EUROPE & MEDITERRANEAN
New rate increases will apply to all cargo and commodities moving westbound and eastbound between India, Pakistan, Europe and the Mediterranean, effective September’1, 2009.

WB’from India/Pakistan to Europe and the Mediterranean:
+USD 250 per 20’ dry container
+USD 400 per 40’/40’ High Cube
Over weight surcharge > 23 tons (Incl. tare) : +USD 150 per 20’ dry

EB from Europe and the Mediterranean to India/Pakistan:
+USD 100 per 20’ dry container,
+USD 200 per 40’/40’ High Cube

ASIA - MEDITERRANEAN - NORTH EUROPE
The following rate increases will apply to all cargo and commodities moving westbound from Asia to the Mediterranean and North Europe, effective September 1, 2009.

Asia - North Europe: +USD 200 per TEU
Asia - Mediterranean’- ‘Black Sea - Adriatic: ‘+USD 200 per TEU

EUROPE - AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

The CMA CGM Group has decided to restore freight rates in the Europe to Australia and New Zealand trade to a sustainable level.

Southbound from Europe to Australia and New Zealand: +300 USD per TEU, effective September 15, 2009

Northbound from Australia and New Zealand to Europe: +200 USD per TEU, effective September 15, 2009

Since August 15, 2009, an increase of 175 USD per TEU is also applied to all cargo moving southbound from the US East Coast and the US Gulf Coast to Australia and New Zealand.
