As part of the Shanghai World Expo, the CMA CGM Group has shipped 5 works of art on behalf of the JGM Gallery specialized in contemporary sculpture. Four sculptures were transported aboard the CMA CGM FIDELIO between Zeebrugge and Shanghai on the French Asia Line services (Europe/Asia). As for the largest sculpture, Flatbed Trailer by Wim Delvoye, it was loaded as a special shipment on three 40-teu flat rack containers.

These works of art will be displayed at the Art for the World sculpture exhibition, one of the most ambitious art projects of the World Expo which will feature 20 sculptures from leading artists of the international and Chinese contemporary art scene.

This cultural event will take place at the heart of the Expo site, on all three levels of the Expo Boulevard, the main avenue linking the national pavilions, which should be the most visited spot on the Expo site.

Containerships are still today the preferred method of shipment for all types of products, even the most unusual. Thanks to its size and concept, a container can travel around the world as is. It is a handy box, which can suit all types of goods. Works of art, airbus wings, Singapore Metro, helicopters or luxury yachts, CMA CGM provides ingenious solutions for really special transport.
