CMA CGM is pleased to announce the launch of ACSA 2, a new direct service between Asia, Mexico and the West Coast of South America, operated in partnership with CSCL, Hanjin Shipping and Hyundai Merchant Marine.

This new joint service will strengthen CMA CGM's presence on this trade, providing customers with:

  • Direct connections to Guayaquil (Ecuador), Iquique and Valparaiso (Chile),
  • Enlarged port coverage of the West Coast of South America together with one of the fastest transit time in and out of the Region,
  • Improved capacity in response to the growing volumes on this market.

The ACSA 2 service will deploy 10 vessels with a capacity of 2350 to 2550 teu on the following rotation:

Shekou ' Ningbo ' Shanghai ' Pusan ' Manzanillo (Mexico) ' Buenaventura ' Guayaquil ' Callao ' Iquique ' Valparaiso ' San Vicente ' Manzanillo (Mexico) ' Pusan and return to Shekou.

The ACSA 2 service will start its eastbound rotation at Shekou on September 13th, 2010.
