CMA CGM is following with great concern the events taking place in Egypt. The Group has set up an Emergency and Communication Response Team to follow the situation, 24/24, 7/7, keeping in close contact with its Egyptian teams in the country, assessing their safety and making sure operations are fully maintained.

CMA CGM continues to accept bookings for Egypt and the Group's vessels maintain all their calls to Egyptian main Terminals (Damietta, Alexandria and Port Said West & East). Once the port of Ein Sokhna reopen, we will resume our vessels calls.

CMA CGM Group vessels continue to transit normally through the Suez Canal.

In spite of the limited access, all CMA CGM offices are open, except at Ein Sokhna. Now that telecommunications are resumed in the country, CMA CGM is now able to contact its customers in Egypt to advise them of the whereabouts of their import and export containers.

As a reminder, CMA CGM in Egypt is represented by:

  • 5 offices (Port Said, Cairo, Alexandria, Ein Sokhna, Damietta);
  • 272 employees including 2 expatriates;
  • 16 services crossing the Suez Canal weekly;
  • 7 services calling Egypt weekly;
  • 2 feeders serving the Region.

CMA CGM Group, which has been present for many years in Egypt remains mobilized to ensure continuity of its operations and services to its customers.
