The four-year agreement, effective Jan. 1, 2014 through Dec. 31, 2017, provides wage increases and improved benefits to 74 active CN Police officers across Canada.
Sean Finn, CN executive vice-president - corporate services and chief legal officer, said: “We are very pleased that the parties reached an early agreement for a second contract renewal in a row. The parties’ dedication to reaching an agreement demonstrates their ability to work together and to concentrate their efforts on addressing and resolving issues in the best interests of CN and the CNRPA’s membership.”
Gerry St. George, CNRPA national president, said: “The new agreement and the process of negotiating it underscore the effectiveness of the dialogue our association has with the company. That being said, this would never have been possible without our members’ ongoing support. Under the new contract, CN Police officers in Canada will obtain improved wages and benefits over the next four years.”
