Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier and subsidiary of Con-way Inc., has been named LTL Carrier of the Year by Technicolor Home Entertainment Services.

Con-way Freight provides transportation services throughout North America as a core LTL carrier for Camarillo, Calif.-based Technicolor Home Entertainment Services, which annually measures and evaluates its carriers against stringent criteria outlined in a comprehensive performance scorecard. The evaluation ranks service providers in areas such as on-time pickup and delivery, security compliance, communications, capacity, green initiatives including EPA SmartWay scores, invoice and billing accuracy, technology systems performance, claims and overall customer service.

'Consistent, reliable, on-time service with deliveries that are exception-free are critical performance factors for the media and entertainment industry, where timing can be everything,' said Bryan Kelly, Technicolor's Senior Director of Logistics. 'Con-way Freight had a composite on-time record of 99.4 percent and fewer than 10 shipment claims. It is this high level of reliability and quality that earned them top honors.'

'There is no better measure of our quality and our value than meeting and exceeding those key goals set by our customers,' said Greg Lehmkuhl, president, Con-way Freight. 'We are honored to be selected by Technicolor as their LTL carrier of the year. It's recognition of our team's winning approach to service, and the care and responsiveness we put into servicing every shipment, every day for this industry leader.'
