ContainerPort Group (CPG) announces the promotion of Russel A. Graef to President, effective immediately.  Graef is one of the founding members of CPG. Over his 40+ years with the company, he has held executive positions in all divisions of the business, including terminal operations, transportation, sales, logistics, and fleet safety. Prior to his promotion, he was Executive Vice President, a position he had held since 2010, and where he led the company’s trucking, depot/CY, and M&R operations. Under Graef’s direct leadership, CPG has enjoyed increased profitability, an enhanced customer experience, and growth in many areas, cementing CPG’s position as a market leader of intermodal terminal and transportation services in its geographical scope.  Active throughout his career in a number of industry associations, Graef currently holds leadership roles with the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA), where he holds the position of Co-Vice Chairman of the Operations Committee; the American Trucking Association (ATA), where he serves on the Board of Directors of ATA’s Intermodal Motor Carrier Conference (IMCC); and the North American Chassis Pool Cooperative, where he is a founding board member.  “It gives me great pleasure to announce this promotion,” says Fred Hunger, CPG’s Chairman. “Russ’ leadership, dedication, and business acumen have been a critical factor in positioning CPG to be one of the premier intermodal transportation companies in the market.”  ContainerPort Group, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is a leading provider of services to the container shipping industry and is in its forty-third year of operation.
