The same idea works for vital packages leaving Manhattan. Using a narrow two hour closeout window at the 39th Street Terminal, shippers can access the fastest service available to Continental's extensive European and domestic network. No carrier offers more nonstop options from the New York area.
'This is the quickest and most reliable way to get vital packages to and from Manhattan. We believe this is a better mousetrap because it cuts hours off the current express options into JFK. And if you consider helicopter service, you face uncertain cargo payloads,' said Continental's Vice President-Cargo Division, Jack Boisen. 'This will be the only service of its kind in the New York market.'
By using the passenger ferry to move express cargo, Continental is able to avoid the usual traps that impact ground transportation, such as bridges, tunnels, tolls and heavy traffic. The maximum time Continental will take from the aircraft landing at Newark, to delivery at its new QUICKPAK office in Midtown, will be 90 minutes.
The new product will be fully operational September 25. CO's new QUICKPAK office at the 39th Street Terminal is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Couriers and forwarders can take advantage of the 100% money back guarantee for Continental's award-winning QUICKPAK express package service. Packages can be accepted up to 90 linear inches and weighing no more than 100 pounds. Free parking is offered at the new office.
