Costa Rica’s refining company Recope has launched a tender to import up to 5,400 barrels of aviation gasoline to be received at Port Moin, according to a document seen by Reuters on Monday. Recope’s 25,000 barrel per day refinery at Moin has schedule for this year a big expansion project to achieve a crude processing capacity of 65,000 bpd. The aviation gasoline can be received in a single 900-5,000 barrel cargo for delivery on July 10-12 or in six 900 barrel cargoes from July to December, according to the tender’s terms. The company will receive bids until June 18 and they must refer to unleaded gasoline 93 prices from the U.S. Gulf Coast. Recope in February bought three 165,000 barrel cargoes of fuel oil that started to be received in April. It is also receiving this year from U.S. oil firm Valero Energy up to 14.25 million barrels of fuels. (Reporting by Marianna Parraga)
