Crane Worldwide Logistics’ Johannesburg office, their first African location, has celebrated their one year anniversary. “The growth of our Johannesburg office has been exceptional and our team has constantly exceeded the already high expectations we had for them,” said Gerard Ryan, Regional Vice President-EMEA for Crane Worldwide Logistics. “From day one, our team embraced the Customer-Centric focus that Crane Worldwide is known for and has performed at an extremely high level.”

In their first year of operations in Johannesburg, Crane Worldwide Logistics has grown their portfolio to include Air and Ocean freight forwarding and warehousing, white glove door to door service, as well as in house customs brokerage. Crane Worldwide’s highly regarded compliance program is also offered as a high value service to their customers.

Crane Worldwide Johannesburg is in place as a regional hub for Crane Worldwide’s growth into the broader Southern African market which also includes offices in Pemba, Mozambique. Using the hub approach, Crane Worldwide has been able to provide solutions to customers that reduce transportation cost and transit time. “We are delighted to have such a strong foothold in South Africa from our base in Johannesburg. We believe we are now well positioned to support the continuous growth in the area and provide our customers with a personalised service to support their logistics requirements now and in the future,” comments John Magee, President and CEO of Crane Worldwide Logistics based in Houston.

In the years to come, Crane Worldwide looks forward to continuing to build an industry leading operation in Johannesburg that leverages Crane Worldwide’s industry leading IT systems and the local expertise of their Johannesburg based employees to provide best in class service to their customers. “We are excited about what the future holds for Crane Worldwide Logistics in Southern Africa,” said Kelvin Ganas, Country Manager for South Africa. “We think that we are well positioned to provide our customers in Johannesburg and beyond with a service that exceeds any other that is offered in the market at present.”
