CSAL direct service from Canada to Namibia
Canada States Africa Line (CSAL) offers a direct service from Canada and the US East Coast to Walvis Bay, Namibia.

On March 2008, when CSAL launched its direct service from Canada and the US East Coast to Southern Africa, the Walvis Bay port was just an additional port of call on the northbound loop. Now, CSAL is pleased to offer clients a direct service from Canada and the US East Coast and Gulf to Walvis Bay with a transit time of as little as 20 days.

Direct service to Namibia will allow CSAL's clients to ship the cargo with no trans-shipment and re-handling, providing the advantage of guaranteed delivery times and added security. CSAL was established in March 2008. Initially the service covered the ports of Montreal, Baltimore, Walvis Bay, Cape Town, Durban, Richards Bay and employed two Astrakhan Mark III type ships. In the scope of one year the ports of Savannah, Houston and New Orleans have been added to the rotation and in the last few months, the fleet was expanded to four modern multipurpose tween-deckers.
