DHL brings in top honors with Grand Stevie® Award’ at 8th Annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer

In recognition for providing exceptional customer service in the U.S., DHL, the world’s leading shipping and logistics provider, received three bronze Stevie® Awards at the eighth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. Additionally, the ‘Grand Stevie Award’ was presented to the DHL Express global organization for receiving the most honors of any organization, including 17 of which were within the Americas Region.

“Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s exceptionally gratifying to see our employees recognized formally for living our customer centric culture,” said Clare Buchanan, Vice President of Customer Service for DHL Express Americas. “These Stevie Award winners, along with thousands of others at DHL, go above and beyond on a daily basis to exemplify customer service excellence – and it shows.”

Bronze Stevie Awards were presented to the following at DHL Express U.S.:

• Esteban Garcia – ‘Contact Center Manager of the Year’, for outstanding leadership and excellence for the individual contact center manager

• Travis Pfeiff – ‘Back Office Customer Service Professional of the Year’, for achievements of customer service professionals who work behind the front lines of customer service

• The DHL Express Customer Contact Department – ‘Contact Center of the Year’, for outstanding achievements of contact centers with over 100 seats.

In addition, individual customer service representatives in Mexico and Peru were honored for their innovative work, along with ten customer service teams in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, and Peru. In Mexico, DHL was also honored for sales excellence with a Silver Stevie for ‘National Sales Executive of the Year’ and a Bronze Stevie for ‘Sales Turnaround of the Year’.

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top sales awards, contact center awards, and customer service awards. The Stevie Awards organizes several of the world’s leading business awards shows, including the prestigious American Business AwardsSM and International Business AwardsSM.

The awards were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on Friday, February 21 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada. More than 260 executives around the world participated in the judging process for the 2014 awards to determine the finalists and the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements.
