Egypt’s Suez Canal October revenue climbs 5.2 year on year

CAIRO, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Revenue from Egypt’s Suez Canal rose by 5.2 percent to $466 million in October compared to the same month a year ago, Egypt’s state information portal said on Thursday.

September revenues were $442 million.

The waterway is one of the country’s main sources of foreign currency, along with tourism, oil and gas exports and remittances from Egyptians living abroad.
