EIMSKIP announce the arrival of their New England Canada Express Short Sea Service, the (NECA Express).

The fixed day weekly schedule will offer an all water service between the ports of Eastern Canada and New England with a double port call in Halifax Nova Scotia serving both Halterm and Ceres Marine Terminals.

Due to begin in the first week of July 2007, the 384 TEU fully cellular geared container vessel the SEABOARD NAVIGATOR, with 60 reefer plugs and a speed of 14.5 knots is a suitable ship for the trade, capable of servicing the requirements of EIMSKIPS Customers. EIMSKIP will develop the Short Sea Market between New England and Eastern Canada in addition to offering feeder services to the deep sea lines calling at Boston and Halifax.

EIMSKIP are committed to the development of Short Sea Shipping and the new service between New England and Canada adds to EIMSKIP's global service network.

The operational and customer service center for Canada will be the EIMSKIP office in Halifax Nova Scotia. Atlantic Maritime Transit Agency has been appointed as agents for EIMSKIP covering the ports of Boston MA, Portsmouth NH and Portland ME.
