Azerbaijan Airlines and the Silk Way Group select FuelFX
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and The Silk Way Group selects FuelFX, LLC, a Houston-based digital marketing firm, as its creative agency of record. As the new brand partner, FuelFX will focus initially on the development of multiple, multilingual websites and the production of a 3D animated film showcasing the stunning new terminal at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, Azerbaijan. These projects will highlight both the opening of the new terminal and the 75th anniversary of the State Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CAA).
“FuelFX is honored to work with AZAL and The Silk Way Group,” said Oliver Diaz, president and CEO of FuelFX. “Baku is emerging as the next great European city with its massive outdoor art installations and spectacular feats of architecture that form a mesmerizing backdrop to a bustling metropolis. With the CAA’s 75th anniversary in June and the opening of the new airport terminal this summer, the timing to improve the marketing associated with this incredible country could not be better.”
FuelFX will comprehensively redesign multiple websites including ones for the CAA; Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), the country’s premiere passenger airline; and Silk Way Airlines, the flagship air-cargo company of The Silk Way Group.Additionally, FuelFX will produce a fully animated 3D walkthrough of the new terminal at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. This realistic 3D tour will showcase the modern and sophisticated architecture and interior design of the new terminal. The terminal will feature an impressive exterior and 53,000 square meters that will include upscale lounges and elaborate restaurant areas, and it will raise the handling capacity of the airport by 50 percent to accommodate 3 million passengers annually. The new terminal will open to the public later this summer.
“This extremely intricate and complex animation of the terminal, with over 120 million polygons, 7,000 models and 800 textures, was modeled from scratch in under a month by a team of twelve 3D artists,” said Diaz. “It is a stunning space, and our technical team successfully brought to life its impressive architectural detail and design in a very limited amount of time.”
Senior management and marketing directors at both AZAL and The Silk Way Group stated that they “are both excited and pleased that FuelFX has become a partner in our global marketing efforts. FuelFX has an outstanding track record and reputation for producing high-quality interactive and visual-based 3D multimedia. We highly anticipate the delivery and launch of their initial projects, and look forward to a fruitful, long-lasting relationship with them.”
