Lynden adopts CargoWise to future proof its new Belgium operations
CargoWise’, a global leader in technology solutions for logistics service providers (LSPs), announced international logistics company Lynden, Inc. has implemented a hosted version of ediEnterprise in its new Belgium office.Headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, Lynden has more than 300 employees spread across offices in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Russia, as well as the newly-opened Belgium presence. Lynden is internationally recognised for its capacity to deliver high levels of customer service and value.
Having considered a range of different software options Philip Maxon, Lynden Director of International Operations, said only ediEnterprise from CargoWise provided both high-level integration with European Customs systems, and attractive per-user pricing. He also said ediEnterprise provided Lynden’s nascent European operations with a strategic advantage and increased agility. The rapidity with which ediEnterprise can be implemented will make it possible to respond quickly to expansion opportunities.
‘The hosted model is very attractive because it gives us the opportunity to rapidly expand our offices if the opportunity arises,’ he said. ‘Our own system works very well in the U.S., but we needed a system that we could get up and running very quickly, that would work in Belgium.’
CargoWise Vice President Business Development - Europe, Simon Clark, says Lynden has effectively future-proofed its European operation by adopting ediEnterprise. The company has leveraged the customizable features of ediEnterprise to match its pre-existing process flows, making further expansion swift and simple.
‘At a global level, Lynden will achieve significant productivity gains. By defining ediEnterprise workflows to match its global processes, expanding into other offices will be quick and straightforward,’ Clark says. ‘It’s given them a nice, smooth operation that’s future proof and ready for growth when new opportunities present themselves.’
