Dachser stays on strong growth course in Americas
Dachser Transport of America Inc. (Dachser USA), the U.S. division of one of the world’s leading global logistics service providers, has announced that revenue in 2012 increased 17.5 percent to more than $127 million. This performance continues Dachser’s rapid growth in the United States international transport market, offering quality service supported by global reach.
“We continue to grow our client base in the U.S. due to our cost-effective and quality service linking importers and exporters to the rest of the world,” said Frank Guenzerodt, President & CEO of Dachser USA. “Our role in the growing Dachser network is to ensure that U.S. customers and global customers active in the U.S. can receive the same quality of service worldwide through the Dachser intelligent logistics model.”
Dachser also continues to expand throughout the Americas. The company this month opened an additional office in Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. Earlier this year, Dachser acquired Spanish forwarder Transunion, bringing with it a strong Latin American presence with offices in Argentina, Peru and Mexico. Dachser USA opened a Bonded Container Freight Station, I.B.E.C. and Bonded Warehouse in Miami last month. With the rollout of the Export Gateway in Miami, Dachser now offers in-transit deconsolidation and on-forwarding services by combining the in-transit cargo with existing export consolidation cargo throughout the world, specifically, Latin America markets.
With overall capital investment totaling EUR 148 million ($190 million US) in 2012, Dachser continues to strengthen its global logistics network and lay the foundation for further growth.
