Port of Stockton Board of Commissioners has new chair, new vice-chair and new board member
Commissioner Stephen Griffen was elected chairman of the Port of Stockton Board of Commissioners and was re-elected to the Port’s Board of Commissioners by Stockton City Council members. Victor Mow was elected a vice chairman. In addition, Michael Patrick Duffy has been elected as a new board member by the Stockton City Council, replacing W. Ronald Coale.Griffen was first appointed to the board by the Stockton City council in January 2009. A lifelong resident of Stockton, he is the owner of Country Club Service and Bob’s Lube since 1984 and also owns Country Club Smog. He has worked as a longshoreman since 1977.
Victor Mow is a retired supervisor on the Board of San Joaquin County where he served eight years, two years as chairman of its board. Prior to being appointed to the Port of Stockton Board of Commissioners, he was elected for two terms on the Stockton City Council and is a former Vice Mayor.
New board member Duffy serves as president and CEO of the Financial Center Credit Union in Stockton.
