Wind, waves knock over ship at Brazil’s Paranagua port
A gust of wind brought strong waves to Brazil’s Port of Paranagua over the weekend, knocking over a ship working on the expansion of a container terminal but not affecting exports, a port spokeswoman said.
No oil was spilled when the ship sank around this past weekend, the port said.
Brazil exported a record amount of soybeans in May and sugar exports are picking up as an expected record cane crop is crushed. (Reuters)
