Mark-It Services forms new technology division, WAM Technologies LLC
Mark-It Services, the leading U.S. provider of cargo protective and monitoring services for refrigerated containers and related assets, announced that it has formed a new technology division, WAM Technologies LLC. WAM Technologies LLC will address the growing industry demand for greater control and visibility of refrigerated assets and cargo through the use of advanced software and cutting edge wireless tracking technologies.
In its role as the new specialized division of Mark-It Services, WAM Technologies sets an industry precedent by being the first of its kind at the forefront of global wireless reefer monitoring. WAM Technologies offers cutting edge hardware, software and ancillary services for the remote managing and controlling of reefers on a global basis. To date, Mark-It Services’ WAM software is an integral part in the management of over 200,000 plus reefers worldwide.
The innovative wireless asset monitoring solutions that WAM Technologies has to offer provides shippers, equipment and cargo owners unprecedented transparency and access to manage and protect cold chain assets. Steamship lines, rail shippers and trucking companies now have the ability to see refrigerated shipments in real time, understand cargo condition and take action upon flagged events. They have total, two-way, reefer control on a global scale. Moving into its 20th year of business in the maritime industry, Mark-It Services (MIS) manages over 95% of all intermodal reefer cargo for every major ocean carrier, from in-gate origin to out-gate destination. This equates to over 75,000 reefer loads per month and spans across more than 110 inspection and repair locations.
