OW Bunker expands North American operation with further appointments
Phillip Sissener joins the company as a Senior Account Manager, working out of the Stamford, Connecticut office. Prior to OW Bunker Sissener worked for a global shipping agency company in Norwalk, Connecticut, where he gained a wealth of experience as General Manager, Marine Solutions.
Also joining OW Bunker’s North American operations is Don Morales, who will be based in the company’s Houston office as Junior Trader. Mr. Morales has recently graduated from the State University of New York Maritime College (SUNY) with a Master’s degree in International Trade & Transportation Management.
Hans Staal, Branch Manager, OW Bunker, commented: “Finding the right people to help drive our operations in North America forward has been key to our successful growth, and I am very pleased that Phillip and Don are joining to further strengthen our teams. It is integral that we have people with the knowledge and experience of local and global markets, which, combined with our global network and resources, serves to provide a compelling fuel supply proposition for our customers.”
Adrian Tolson, General Manager, OW Bunker said: “The North American market faces significant change over the coming years in terms of regulatory compliance, economic pressures and a number of challenges to regional bunkering that will impact supply and demand. We will continue to develop our infrastructure so that we can continue to help and prepare customers to deal effectively with the new market dynamics. Having the right people is a key part of this, and as a business with ambition to expand, we will continue to keep our door open to people with the right experience and drive to succeed.”
