IANA announces 2014 board officers and four new directors
Effective January 1, the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) welcomed four new members to its board of directors and installed its officers for the membership year. Consisting of 13 individuals representing the combined interests of IANA’s diverse membership, the board of directors oversees the activities of the Association and provides guidance and perspective to inform IANA’s policy and goals.
Katie Farmer, group vice president, consumer products of BNSF Railway, was elected as the Association’s vice chairman and joins IANA Chairman Phil Shook, director of intermodal at C.H. Robinson, and IANA Treasurer Don Aiken, vice president of intermodal operations at Schneider National Inc., who were both re-elected to their positions. Ms. Farmer has over 20 years of experience in the railroad industry and is responsible for the commercial activities of BNSF’s intermodal and automotive business.
“IANA’s Board of Directors has a significant role in growing our organization,” said Joni Casey, president and CEO of IANA. “Their combined industry experience brings a wealth of knowledge and new insight to further advance the Association’s goals.”
Each of IANA’s four new board members will serve a three-year term. Joining the 2014 Board of Directors are:
• Adriene B. Bailey, vice president of strategic business development for the transportation division at Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc., filling an at-large seat;
• Kate Betsworth, vice president of intermodal operations at Union Pacific Railroad Company, also filling an at-large seat;
• Robert “Bob” Curry Jr., president and chief executive officer of California Multimodal LLC, filling a motor carrier division opening; and,
• Keith Lovetro, president and chief executive officer of TRAC Intermodal, filling a supplier division seat.
