October launch marks third new service from US since mid-2004

With the October 29 launch of daily Boeing 777-300ER nonstop service between New York and Dubai via Hamburg, Emirates significantly expands its North American presence, adding a key component to its rapidly growing global route network.

The new service links New York to Hamburg, one of Europe’s most important international business centers, and increases the airline’s North American service to three flights daily to Dubai.

In addition to the new JFK-Hamburg service, Emirates has added seven new destinations worldwide in 2006, including Beijing, China; Nagoya, Japan; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Kolkatta and Thiruvananthapuram, India; Abidjan, West Africa; and Lilongwe (a cargo-only destination) in Malawi. Services to two more destinations ’ Bangalore in India and Tunis in Tunisia ’ will be launched on October 29.
