Envirotainer has announced that the company has established its own ground handling and container center in Amsterdam. This follows the take over of  part of the assets and staff of  the former Air Repair facilities in Hoofddorp, which were dedicated to Envirotainer repair and handling. This commercial arrangement supports the strategic decision, communicated to the market one year ago, to run Envirotainer-operated ULD competence centers to further strengthen its ability to serve the cold chain market with state-of-the-art air cargo containers, and will further strengthen Envirotainer’s pool of competency in the Global Service Network organization. The part of Air Repair B.V. i.e. the repair and handling of general cargo ULD’s & Cargo Nets, will stay under control of ACL Airshop that continues to be fully FAA & EASA licensed and, effective today, transferred to the headquarters and facilities at ACL Airshop in the Netherlands , which is only 15 minutes from Amsterdam Airport. Here business will continue as usual. “Today’s announcement marks another step in building a solid foundation around what is Envirotainer’s core strength, the open and globally independent service network”, says Gabriel Andersson, COO of Envirotainer. “For us, the possibility to take over the very well managed Amsterdam station and highly skilled staff from Air Repair was a perfect fit and a possibility to leverage on many years of successful cooperation between the two companies. We are very pleased with this business arrangement and welcome our new Amsterdam based colleagues to the Envirotainer team” Marc Terpstra, CEO and Director of Air Repair B.V, says, “Our relationship with Envirotainer represents and proves how companies can work together in a respected manner and  align closely with the overall strategy of the business
