"This new facility is well positioned to help local companies manage their warehouse operations and yards more smoothly, and have greater access to containers and truck trailers as needed, minimizing potential impacts of traffic and port delays," says Marcia Faschingbauer, president of Excargo Services. "From our base in Houston, we transport more than 25,000 containers per year across the South -- and this new satellite location in Orange benefits the regional business community by helping it take full advantage of the area's proximity to port and rail terminals."
The terminal features three acres of fenced and lit container storage. It can accommodate 10,000 containers annually or more stacked.
Excargo Services has been draying goods to and from the Port of Houston and area rail terminals for international and intermodal shippers for more than 30 years, while garnering numerous national awards for safety achievements. Excargo also provides logistics and warehouse services for some of America's most service-sensitive companies.
Over the past few years, Excargo has led the way in "greening the fleet" of commercial trucks that provide drayage services in the region. The company has helped dozens of owner-operators obtain newer, safer, more environmentally friendly vehicles.
