Spinnaker, the leader in supply chain consulting and logistics services announced that Vice Presidents Jeff Jorgensen and John Sharkey, will be presenting an educational track seminar at the 2013 CSCMP Conference, “Unlock More Value from your Returns”. Taking place Tuesday, October 22, at 4:30 p.m., this presentation discusses how organizations can leverage returns for improved product lifecycle management and extended supply chain benefits.

The two current “Supply Chain Provider Pros to Know” will also offer tactics for companies to improve their reverse logistics performance.

“The relationship between customers and suppliers can be positively or negatively impacted by how well returns are managed,” says Jeff Jorgensen, Vice President of Spinnaker’s Value Added Warehouse Distribution (VAWD) Practice. “By considering the entire supply chain, including returned goods as a potential supply source, organizations can optimize inventory to balance cost against customer responsiveness … while also controlling products at their end-of-life to manage sustainability and environmental impacts.”

John Sharkey, Vice President of Spinnaker’s Supply Chain Consulting Practice, adds to Mr. Jorgensen’s comments, “Companies that proactively focus on the management of returns and differentiate how they manage forward and reverse operations find significant opportunities to recover costs associated with returned assets, improving their net recovery, customer loyalty and overall financial performance.” The 2013 CSCMP Conference is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year in Denver, Colorado. Spinnaker is proud to be exhibiting at this event, presenting their consulting and execution services. Conference goers can register to win a One-Week Free Returns Management Assessment by stopping the Spinnaker booth, #731.
