Intermodal division earns four awards for Outstanding Service in 2004

Schneider National Inc. announced it has been recognized by Colgate-Palmolive Company and Sony Electronics with prestigious transportation awards. Colgate-Palmolive named the company as its Rising Star and Intermodal Carrier of the Year for 2004, while Sony honored Schneider with its 2004 awards for Best Over-The-Road Carrier and Intermodal Carrier.

With sales in more than 200 countries and territories, Colgate-Palmolive is a leading global consumer products company focused on oral care, personal care, household surface care, fabric care and pet nutrition. Schneider received Colgate’s Rising Star award in recognition of service above and beyond the company’s expectations and as a testament to Colgate’s commitment to growing their supply chain relationship. As Colgate’s Intermodal Carrier of the Year, Schneider consistently and reliably served Colgate’s customers, helping the company achieve aggressive growth targets. Schneider National’s Intermodal division received both awards in its first year providing intermodal service to Colgate.

Sony Electronics is the largest component of Sony Corporation of America, the US holding company for Sony’s US-based electronics and entertainment businesses. Schneider National received the award for Best Over-the-Road Carrier of 2004 from Sony Electronics in Tijuana, Mexico in recognition of its superior service and commitment to on-time delivery performance of outbound shipments from Mexico. Sony PTG (Mount Pleasant, Pa.) named Schneider Best Intermodal Carrier for 2004 for superior transportation services, support and flexible transit options.

“Schneider’s Intermodal division is honored to be recognized by Colgate-Palmolive and Sony, two of the leading consumer packaged goods companies on the market today,” said Dan Van Alstine, senior vice president of enterprise sales for Schneider National. “We are proud to provide customized solutions that exceed clients’ supply chain needs, expectations, and most importantly, contribute to their success.”
