FPS Group – the global independent forwarding and consolidator network – has appointed two new network agents. CSS Pakistan is based in Karachi, with branches in Lahore, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Islamabad and Multan; it was launched in 2013, and is part of the CSS Group of Dubai, which now has six members in the FPS network. The company provides multi-modal forwarding and logistics services, including a transit service for goods destined for Afghanistan. Also joining the FPS Group network is Servotech Shipping & Logistics, with branches in Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad and Sialkot. Launched in 2000, the multi-modal capabilities of the company include sea-air. At the same time, existing FPS network agent G-Freight of Portugal has been promoted to full Group Member status, enabling it to take a more active role in the direction of the Group.  G-Freight joined FPS in 2006, and was the host of the highly-successful 2014 FPS Group AGM and conference held in its home city of Porto. Says FPS co-founder and Advisory Board Chairman Benny Ling: “The challenges of the freight industry have never been more apparent, particularly for independents. This makes the FPS proposition of reciprocal sales, broad geographic capabilities, strong marketing and enhanced buying power particularly attractive to well-established local companies wishing to move up to the next level. “We are delighted to welcome CSS Pakistan and Servotech to our family, and to recognise G-Freight’s  loyalty and hard work with their promotion to full membership. The fact that, at sixteen years of age, FPS is one of the world’s oldest-established independent networks adds an aura of trust and respectability that clearly  has an appeal to new members.”
